ASIA OSS Training Program, January 2006, Bangkok

The Center for International Cooperation for Computerization (CICC), Singapore has completed fourth ASIA OSS training program with National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC) from January 16th to 20th 2006 at Bangkok.

II Embedded system track

Application construction utilizing TOPPERS/JSP.

TOPPERS/JSP is an OSS in conformity with the uITRON4.0 specification. uITRON is an open spec for real-time kernel that is popular in Japan.

The objective is to learn the basics of embedded system programming. A target board furnished with Renesas CPU:H8/3069F was used for training. In this course an instant noodle timer will be built using the provided training material.

Through these training material, the merits of utilizing operating system less and RTOS, Synchronization and communication between tasks, and I/O control of the board can be studied.
