Commonwealth Government Intellectual Property

IPAccess
IPAccess contains accessible information on intellectual property (IP), including information for the technology sector and small and medium sized enterprises. It contains information such as how to protect your IP in Australia and overseas, and how to commercialise IP. IPAccess provides information on how to seek further help, and you can also register with them to receive the latest IP news for free.
IP Australia
IP Australia grants patents, and registers designs and trade marks. It receives and processes applications, conducts hearings and decides on disputed matters relating to the granting or denial of Australian IP rights. It is a useful information resource on IP, patents, trade marks, designs and business strategies.
Parliamentary Library
The Commonwealth Government's Parliamentary Library has information on intellectual property law, including legislation, court and tribunal decisions, law reports, and key national bodies and publications.

Non-government Intellectual Property

IPRIA
Intellectual Property Research Institute of Australia (IPRIA) is a national centre for multi-disciplinary research on the law, economics and management of IP. It is based at the University of Melbourne, and is run jointly by the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Economics and Commerce, and the Melbourne Business School. IPRIA was established in 2002 with funding from IP Australia.
Asia Pacific Intellectual Property Law Institute
Asia Pacific Intellectual Property Law Institute (APIPLI) conducts research and formulates policy relevant to the Asia Pacific region. The Institute is available to perform consultancy services for industry and government and within the University community.
