Immigration related information for S&T personnel from other APEC economies

The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has launched the Admission of Talents Scheme in December 1999. It is a quota-free and non-sector specific immigration policy with the aim of attracting talents who possess outstanding qualifications and expertise or skills not readily available in Hong Kong.

Current restrictions on entry for employment for residents in Mainland China, other Mainland residents who are living overseas, Macau residents, and nationals of certain former Soviet Bloc countries are relaxed, provided that they meet the eligibility criteria under the scheme. Details of the Scheme can be found in this website: http://www.info.gov.hk/sb/bound/info-e.html
