• Korean Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Development conducts R&D survey and responsible for managing national R&D initiatives [URL: http://english.mest.go.kr/]
• Government Research Institutes (GRI): There are five research councils which oversee the operation of the GRIs. These are: the Research Council for Industrial Science and Technology, the Research Council for Public Technology, the Research Council of Fundamental Science and Technology, the Council of Economic and Social Research Institutes, and the Council of Humanities and Social Research Institutes.
